Consoles Guide

What it does

Consoles is a cloud workspace that holds the files and code an agent works with. It takes on compute-heavy jobs like 3D rendering or video conversion that a single machine would struggle with, and doubles as storage for the results. It connects to the agent you already use without requiring you to switch, so there's no new workflow to learn.

This role lets you rent the computing power (servers, graphics processors, and similar resources) that AI needs for heavy workloads, only when you need it.

When it fits

It fits teams that want to hand off compute-heavy work, like video editing or 3D rendering, to an agent. It's especially useful when the output needs to persist as files or code rather than disappear afterward. Since the service is still running in an early alpha stage, it suits teams willing to try a new approach early on.

When it doesn't fit

The limitations below come from the vendor's own official documentation, not our evaluation. As of 2026-09-22

Consoles is in alpha and billing isn't live yet. Cross-account sharing, a public API and resumable uploads are all missing at launch, and uploads are capped at 256 MiB per file and 2 GiB or 1,000 files per workbook. Anything not explicitly saved is lost once compute stops, and it doesn't replace your agent or restore a stopped process's or GPU's state.
