What it does

Happy Next attaches itself to an agent session that is already running and mirrors its screen onto another device such as a phone. It is not a tool that launches its own agent; it only relays the window of an agent already running on your computer, such as Claude Code, Codex, or the Gemini CLI, over a remote connection.

This role lets you check what the AI is doing right now, and give it instructions, from your phone or another device instead of your office computer.

When it fits

It fits someone who wants to check on agent work from a phone while away from their computer. Node.js 20 or later and at least one agent such as Claude Code or Codex already installed are required before it can attach.

When it doesn't fit

The limitations below come from the vendor's own official documentation, not our evaluation. As of 2026-09-22

Because it is end-to-end encrypted, losing the local key file makes accumulated session history permanently unreadable. Keeping the screen synced requires a stable internet connection, and since it is a companion layer rather than an agent, it does nothing on its own.
