Meta Muse Guide

What it does

Meta Muse launched on September 8, 2026, and Meta describes it as a personal AI agent for everyone. It runs on a dedicated virtual machine (Muse Secure VM) in Meta's cloud and uses a browser you can watch to handle web tasks such as filling out forms. It is aimed at everyday work like scheduling and shopping.

The AI brain that actually executes the work

The AI in this role does not just answer in a chat window: it runs in a terminal (a screen where you type commands to control the computer directly) and actually creates files and runs code. Once you give it an instruction, it chains several steps together on its own.

When it fits

You can hand it work through muse.ai, the iOS and Android apps, or inside WhatsApp, which feels natural if you already run your day from a messenger. A separate Sentinel agent runs on the same VM so Muse never sees your passwords or payment methods directly, and payments go through Link by Stripe. Support for Meta AI glasses is planned for later.

When it doesn't fit

The limitations below come from the vendor's own official documentation, not our evaluation. As of 2026-10-18

It is currently available only in the United States, so it cannot be used in Korea yet. By default Meta may use your queries to improve its models, and you have to switch that off in settings.

Compare with

Dots is the closest comparison, another personal agent with its own virtual computer. Dots connects to ChatGPT, Slack, and Teams, while Muse lives in its own app and WhatsApp. If you want to try one right away, compare where each is available first.
