Browser Use Guide

What it does

Browser Use is an open-source framework for building your own browser automation agent in code. Beyond the agent logic that decides clicks, typing and scrolling from what it reads on screen, it also ships stealth features against bot detection and a live view where a human can step in when the agent gets stuck.

This role has the AI open websites, click buttons, and fill out forms itself, taking over work a person would normally do with a mouse and keyboard.

When it fits

It fits development teams who want to tune the agent's decision logic and anti-detection behavior directly in code. It also suits teams who want a live-view handoff to a human built into the flow whenever a CAPTCHA or block appears.

When it doesn't fit

The limitations below come from the vendor's own official documentation, not our evaluation. As of 2026-09-22

CAPTCHA solving is not guaranteed, so an unsolved challenge has to be handed to a human through the live view, and a site that blocks the browser outright may require switching the proxy country. The maker also says its published stealth figure should be read as a measurement rather than a guarantee, since anti-bot systems keep changing. The free credit is granted once and does not renew, and concurrent sessions are never unlimited.
