What it does

Orca is a workbench built for comparing and merging code changes that several AI agents produce at the same time, all inside one screen. It organizes agent sessions around git worktrees, following how developers actually read diffs and make merge decisions.

This role runs several brain-layer AIs at once and lets you watch and manage what each one is doing from a single screen. It matters most when AI is writing code across several branches of work at the same time.

When it fits

It fits a team where one person needs to review and merge code changes from multiple agents quickly. Getting the most out of it requires developers who are already comfortable with git branches and worktrees.

When it doesn't fit

The limitations below come from the vendor's own official documentation, not our evaluation. As of 2026-09-22

Orca's own documentation states it is built for practicing developers who read diffs and manage git worktrees, and explicitly excludes non-technical, no-code users. It does not include an agent model itself, so a paid agent subscription such as Claude Code or Codex has to be brought separately.

Compare with
